And to Euro2008 we go...

So, the great Swedish football team manages to pull themselves together and defeat Latvia at home in the final game, and thus claiming that spot both team and media seemed to think was secured when they "won" against Denmark earlier this year. Ah well, better late then never, I suppose.

Unfortunatly, I think we will see history repeat itself again. A fluke goal to advance from the group, only to lose in the first game after the group stage. With more than half the team way past the top of their carers, and the greatest coward in football as a coach, nothing can be expected from the team other than failure.

And I still can't decide what to think about Englands failure to qualify. While it will be weird to have a tournament without England, I think a blow like this will be good for English football. A blow to smack them back to reality.
